Sunday ramblings

I heard Devo is going to play SXSW, that's pretty exciting! I hope I can catch up on my finances before then, so that maybe I can get a wristband somehow. I'm about to look at the rest of the lineup here:

http://sxsw.com/music/shows/bands/

I'm working again today as part of my continued commitment to permanently get out of the hole. Today's ebay pile includes two pieces of art pottery I'm selling for a friend, a Talking Stacey, the Barbie fashion Goldswinger, the fashion Now Knit, and a blond Color Magic Barbie.

I've felt positive vibes all day. I think 2009 is going to be a good year.

Itunes is on shuffle tonight...

Here are some of its picks...

I Beg Your Pardon (Razormaid)  - Kon Kan

Tighter - The Raiders, off the LP Collage

Santiago Midnight Moonlight - Kenny Rogers

The War Song - Culture Club

Bouncin' Off the Walls - Matthew Wilder

what are you listening to?

Business as usual

Happy Caturday to those of you who love cats. My kitties just had their dinner and are about to take a nap.

Today is a work day for me. I like to work the same hours my boyfriend is working, so we can spend time together or work on projects  when he is off from work. Today's ebay pile is at $525 so far. I'm about to photograph Barbie's Pink Premiere fashion from Sears, a redhead American Girl Barbie, and a variation of Best Buy #8680. I'll probably pick out a few more things before I take pics.

I have a big bill to pay on Wednesday, and then some consignment invoices to figure out. I'll be working my way out of debt for at least the next couple of months. I'm happy about it though and trying hard to meet my daily goals. Stephen and I will probably go to Arizona sometime this year and maybe Wisconsin. He wants to go to Wisconsin Dells and stay at Mt. Olympus.

I really wish my mom's house in Kenosha would sell because then I could close her estate, and get caught up on debts much faster.

It doesn't matter though, I'm just grateful to have a roof over my head and a partner in crime.

These news articles were the two most entertaining I read today:

Operation get out of debt

Today I am listing on ebay and trying to keep up with my 2009 financial goals that I have set for myself. So far, so good. I met them yesterday and am doing alright so far today. I am trying to clean file folders of photos and clean my house, as well as mix in valuable items so I can catch up on my debts. Today so far I have listed a couple of She Ra figures, a silver pendant from Mexico, a Dawn doll which sold in a buy it now already and I am about to list a Keroppi pencil case followed by some Madame Alexander dolls.

My financial goal for the day is to make between $300 and $400 today. Lately I have been really enjoying downsizing my material wealth as I simply had accumulated too much stuff. I love collecting things but it had become a burden. It's fun picking and choosing what really means the most to you. By the time I am done simplifying my life, my bills should be almost $3,000 less a month. I still need to close out my storage unit and antique mall booth. I appreciate my own ambition but I had too many projects going on. My goal for the future is to make my life less stressful and simplify it as much as possible.

I can see that the economy is starting to make changes in my neighborhood. Twice I have caught my next door neighbors stealing water. I'm not sure what to do about it. Now today, I realized the house across the street has been foreclosed on. I hope I can continue to keep my own obligations going. I think I will, but these economic times are depressing. I think I'll go read the new issue of Playboy to cheer myself up.
